Why I Ride: Carla Watson

I am a cancer survivor. My cancer was not ovarian cancer, but it could have been fatal; I was one of the fortunate ones. Thanks to many who donated before me to Hodgkin’s Lymphoma research, it can be curable today. Scarred in my memory are the months of chemotherapy, surgeries, vomiting, hair loss and fear. As a survivor, I have lived it. This is WHY I RIDE.

One woman is diagnosed with ovarian cancer every 24 minutes. One woman dies from ovarian cancer every 37 minutes. Sadly, 70% of the women diagnosed with this disease will die. There is no reliable early detection test available for ovarian cancer.
These women are our mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts and friends and they deserve better. We all deserve better. Let’s BE THE DIFFERENCE and find a cure NOW!

On February 26, 2017, I will be riding in WHEEL TO SURVIVE DALLAS, a six hour indoor cycling event to raise money for ovarian cancer research. 100%of the money I raise will go directly to life-saving research for women in the fight. I am asking you to please help me reach my goal by making a tax-deductable donation today. No amount is too small. Also, please share my page or link with your friends by email or social media.

To my STYLE IN THE CITY clients both existing and new, for every dollar you donate, I will deduct that amount from your next styling session, www.styleinthecity.style. LET’S DO THIS! The time is NOW!

Thank you for your generous heart and donation to WHEEL TO SURVIVE DALLAS in the fight against ovarian cancer!
